We are excited to announce a new course to add to our suit of courses in the Outdoor Learning and Forest School qualification pathways. This exciting new course has been developed by Muddy Feet, Brightwood Training and the Cambium Trainers network. Delivered by qualified and experienced trainers who work with a variety of young people in the outdoors throughout the year, giving you the benefit of their current working practice. 

OCN L3 Positive approaches to challenging behaviour outdoors

This 4 day course is useful for youth workers, PRU staff, secondary and primary school staff, especially those working with special educational needs or transitional children. This course looks at solution focused positive behaviour management in the outdoors, supporting learning of those with mental health issues or disorders and leading an outdoor activity programme. Entry requirements apply to this programme.

This programme is worth ten credits and you will need to complete a portfolio of evidence for the following units:

-  Positive approaches to understanding and reducing behaviours that challenge

-  Supporting the learning of children and young people who have mental health issues or disorders

-  Outdoor Activity Leader.
