This presentation introduces how outdoor teaching in Primary School can address the biodiversity and the climate crisis through the creation of biodiversity hubs.
We introduce how biodiversity and climate crisis are intrinsically linked, how the biodiversity crisis impacts our lifestyles. We explain the development of a relationship with nature using the 5 pathways to nature connectedness, and how schools can be innovative biodiversity hubs for outdoor learning. We introduce the concept of teachers as biodiversity change-makers and we outline the key starting steps that can be taken by a school towards making this happen.
