We are delighted to announce that MUDDY FEET® and Haribon Foundation for the Conservation of Natural Resources have created a new partnership.
The Haribon Foundation for the Conservation of Natural Resources is the Philippines leading nature conservation organisation, who is dedicated to advancing participatory sustainable solutions. Haribon has four key elements to their work, these are ;
- Conserve sites and habitats
- Save species
- Empower People
- Encourage Sustainability
MUDDY FEET® has adopted 100 native rainforest seedlings in the Philippines as part of their ‘Forests For Life Movement’. The Haribon Foundation works with local community clusters and key local stakeholders throughout the Philippines to restore rainforests. Muddy Feet are supporting forest reforestation including the cultivation, planting, and maintenance of the seedling by local communities for 3 years.
Muddy Feet are thrilled to support the Haribon Foundation as our Founder Alex worked with the Haribon Foundation for a year during her VSO placement over 20 years ago!
I am delighted to be supporting the work of the Haribon Foundation and to give back to the organisation and to the Filippino communities that welcomed me and taught me so much during my placement year. We value the participatory approach to conservation and believe that this sustainable approach aligns with the values and beliefs we hold at Muddy Feet” Alex Williams Muddy Feet Founder.
