New online learning platform

We have teamed up with Teach Outdoors and have launched our online learning platform Nature Based Learning Hub.

We’re delighted to share the next chapter in our partnership with Teach Outdoors as the Nature Based Learning Hub begins to take shape and grow. Since launching the platform, we’ve been focused on creating a flexible, accessible space where educators can build confidence, knowledge and practical skills in nature-based learning, wherever they are based.

By pooling our collective expertise, we’ve brought together a broad range of professional learning opportunities that reflect the diversity of practice across the sector. The Hub now offers online, blended and face-to-face pathways spanning forest school, outdoor learning, nature-based play and approaches that deepen children’s connection with the natural world. Whether practitioners are taking their first steps outdoors or looking to refine and extend established provision, the platform is designed to meet them at the right point in their journey.

A key priority has been usability and relevance. Courses combine research-informed content with practical strategies that can be implemented immediately in schools and settings. Short modules sit alongside more in-depth programmes, enabling staff teams to engage in ways that fit busy schedules while still supporting meaningful professional development. We’re also creating opportunities for collaboration and shared learning, so participants can connect with peers and learn from real-world examples of practice.

This development has been a long time in the making, shaped by conversations with teachers, school leaders and outdoor practitioners about what high-quality support should look like. The result is a growing, responsive platform that will continue to evolve based on feedback and emerging needs.

We’re excited about the potential of the Nature Based Learning Hub to strengthen practice, build confidence and ultimately enrich children’s experiences of learning outdoors. Over the coming months, we’ll be adding new courses, resources and events, and we look forward to welcoming even more educators into the community as the Hub goes from strength to strength.
