Elmsbrook Eco Village Project with MUDDY FEET®

Over the past 12 months we have worked alongside Elmsbrook Eco Village to cultivate and nurture the Elmsbrook Forest School area (located next to Gaglebrook School, OX27 8AS). Our amazing Forest Guardian, Hanna, has run many ‘pop-up’ sessions with wonderful themes of the seasons ably assisted by various Forest Curators who have all been able to show and teach the children the many different ways you can embrace, discover and learn from nature.

As with all MUDDY FEET® projects we base all our events around the ethos of ‘INSPIRE, EDUCATE, ENGAGE’ and this is exactly what we have done and will continue you do with the Elmsbrook opportunity. We have been asked to carry on with the project for another 12 months which is amazing and all thanks to A2 Dominion Housing Group for being able to subsidies the sessions for the local residents. As previously, we will be holding 2 sessions on each Forest School day with the 9.30am group for the under 5’s with tasks and activities based on their age and ability followed by the over 5’s group at 12pm with slightly more challenging activities and crafts to entertain and stimulate the older children.

Basic skills: Hammock chilling, fire starting, bug hunting…

Easter crafts: Egg decorating…

Springtime: Boating creating and testing, paddling in the stream…

…and theses are just snippets of some of the fun we have had at Elmsbrook over the past couple of months.

We do hope you will be able to join us for our future sessions, watch this space for date confirmations, places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. A2 Dominion subsidies the bookings for those in the local area.
